Worship Opportunities

Sunday Services
Every Sunday morning there are two morning services at FLPC. The early service is at 9:00 and the second service is at 11:00. Services include prayer, music, singing, a children's message, proclamation of the Word, and corporate worship. A nursery is provided during each service.

Communion
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated during Sunday morning services in addition to many of the special services. Call the church office for upcoming dates.

Special Seasonal Services

Ash Wednesday
A special service is held on the evening of Ash Wednesday to begin the season of Lent. Check the calendar for date and exact time.

Holy Week Services
Several special services are held each year during Holy Week including a Maundy Thursday service and a Good Friday service. Check the calendar for dates and times.

Easter Morning
Forest Lake holds three services of worship on Easter Sunday morning; a Sunrise Service (see calendar for specific time and location), a 9:00am service, and an 11:00am service. Communion is served at all three worship services. At 10:00am, the Education Ministry hosts a special Easter celebration.

Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service
Each Thanksgiving Eve, Forest Lake Presbyterian Church joins with other churches and synagogues in our neighborhood for an ecumenical service. Check the calendar for date, time, and location.

Advent and Christmas
Special music and litany characterize Sunday morning services during Advent. Two services are held on Christmas Eve. A 5:00 family service includes special child-related aspects of worship and communion is celebrated. A nursery is provided for infants during this service. At 8:00 a candlelight communion by intinction service is held. No nursery is provided during this service.

Kirkin' of the Tartans
Once every several years in the Spring, Forest Lake Presbyterian Church holds a worship service with the bagpipers and drum corps of the Robert Burns Society of the Midlands. A blessing of the tartans and special music characterize the service. This is a special worship event enjoyed by all.
