Lenten Study: God Space
Location: The Parlor
Teachers: The Rev. Dr. Ellen Fowler Skidmore
Lent is a time of preparation leading to Easter Sunday; it is during these 40 days that Christians concentrate on the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf as he journeyed to Jerusalem, where he underwent his trial, crucifixion, and death. In entering a season of disciplined study during Lent, we can achieve a greater understanding of how Jesus’ saving actions make it possible for us to have true relationship with God. To help facilitate this deeper experience of Lent, Ellen will lead a Lenten study based on Doug Pollock’s book God Space: Naturally Creating Room for Spiritual Conversations. This six-week study will take place March 13, 20, 27 and April 3, 10, and 17.
