Many opportunities exist for Bible Study at FLPC! Choose to join one or more of the following:

Men's Prayer Breakfast

Join the Men of the Church every Tuesday morning at 6:45 am. Come and enjoy the best home-cooked breakfast in town! Beginning in the fall of 2007, the study will be on the book, The Man in the Mirror. A devotional Bible study is led by teachers from within the group.

Presbyterian Women Circles

Our PW Circles use the PC(USA) Horizon Bible Studies. The 2007-2008 study is
Above and Beyond: Hearing God's Call in Jonah and Ruth
. The Circles meet monthly. We have a variety of meeting times and locations to choose from.

The Essential 100

Have you been wanting to read the Bible, but get frustrated and give up every time you try? You are not alone. Here is your chance to join us in this church-wide Bible reading program. The Essential 100 are selected short passages that provide a big picture of the Bible and keep participants motivated. A participant's guide helps lead readers through the scriptures. A Sunday School class for participants will meet for reflection, discussion, and encouragement in the Activity Room.
Fall:
September 30 - December 16
Spring:
January 13 - March 16, possible class March 30

Disciple

A transformational Bible study program, the Disciple small groups will meet for 34 weeks in this intensive, high-commitment study. The plan requires weekly scripture reading and reflection as homework, as well as group discussion during a 2 hour class meeting each week. Three sections will be offered beginning in fall 2007.

Friday Morning Women's Bible Study

Our popular Friday morning Bible study group has studied Beth Moore studies for women. The next session will begin September. 7 at 9:30 in the Activity Room. This fall, the group will be studying
A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place
by Beth Moore. This is the updated version and is a study of the Old Testament Tabernacle.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Did you know that failure is essential to God's curriculum? Come and discover how success and failure shape us into the person and Christian who we are by studying the life of Moses. Moses is a wonderful example of a person who learned more through failure than through success. This study is open to members and we welcome friends in the community!
