Forest Lake Youth is a welcoming community of 6th-12th graders and faithful adults who seek to know and love God through Jesus Christ, and to share God's grace with the world!

Forest Lake Youth is a fun place to be yourself, learn about Jesus Christ and our faith, help others, and just hang out with other young people!

FLY typically meets on Sunday and Wednesday nights. We often split into Middle School (6th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade) groups to help youth identify with those closest to their own age.

So, what is Forest Lake Youth about?

Discipleship (Luke 5: 1-11, Matthew 6:25-34)... At FLY we wrestle with the questions on our hearts and minds, whether big or small.

Growing in our faith is important! When we...
Study scripture in group Bible Studies, including

Faith Unplugged
, our high school series with movie clips and music,
Talk about what's going on in our lives in small groups on Sundays and Wednesdays,
Join others at Presbytery retreats and Montreat summer conferences,
Praise God through experiential worship and FLY Praise Band,
...we seek to grow closer to God as a community and as individuals.

Serving Others (Matthew 25: 31-40)... Here's how:
Simple Acts: We play with children at the Family Shelter, visit the Presbyterian Retirement Community, and sort school supplies and canned goods for organizations here in Columbia.
Mission Trips: This summer we rebuilt homes in Mississippi (high school) and served the homeless in Greenville (middle school).
Raising Awareness: Help us fight cancer (American Cancer Society's Relay for Life) and raise money to educate children in war-torn Uganda (Invisible Children).
Feeding the Hungy: Through the Souper Bowl of Caring, Crop Walk, and by serving at local soup kitchens.

Having Fun (Zechariah 8:3-6)...
Go-carts, laser tag, and bowling
Kayaking
Ski trips
Kickball, 'Gorgon', and Ultimate Frisbee
Game and movie nights
Pool parties
and these are just some of the ways that we have fun at FLY!
